		Louis Antoine Saint Just (1767 – 1794) is one of the most significant figures in the history of the Great French Revolution and especially of the period of jacobine dictatorship.
		Saint Just was a close friend and adherent to Maximilien Robespiere that is why he expressed in his speeches and treatises the ideas that were close to the views of the main jacobine ideologue and his works together with the work of the Incorruptible, reflect the development of the Robespierrist thought.
		Saint Just proposed the liberal members of the Convention to look at the real situation of the country, saying that French “trade reserves diminished while the liberty increased, because we were too much interested in the principles of liberty and too little in the principles of government” (6; 18).

		Based on the beautiful voice of Alan Sorrenti's sister Jane, Saint Just began as a trio with mainly acoustic instruments and mixing together folk, psychedelia and classical influences.
		The very good results are demonstrated in their first album, released in 1973 on Harvest.
		The only single by Saint Just includes two cuts from the first album, but it's interesting to notice that it says on the back "l'unico ed autentico progressive italiano" (the only real italian progressive), maybe the first time that the word "progressive" is used in Italy instead of "pop" during the 70's!
