Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Kaimuki, Hawai‘i
Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Honolulu is a parish in the Kaimuki district, in the East Honolulu Vicariate of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu.
Although it falls under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Honolulu, the parish is owned by the Fathers and Brothers of the Sacred Hearts (Picpus) through papal indult and in recognition of the missionary efforts of the Picpus congregation in establishing the church in the Hawaiian Islands.

July 2004: Church officials agreed to a confidential court settlement in a case involving a woman and her two sons who sued the church and a former employee who admitted molesting one of the boys.
June 2004: The Honolulu Diocese settled a sex-abuse lawsuit that claimed two boys were molested by the Rev. Roberto de Otero in the mid- to late 1980s in the rectory at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Church members described their deacon as "big-hearted" and "generous," and said he rescued the struggling parish from the edge of extinction with new programs and fundraising.

Other than mentioning Saint Patrick twice by name in Mass doesnt qualify as much religious meaning to be allowing Catholics to relax their Lenten duties.

On the evening of March 18, 1981, during the solemn celebration of the First Vespers of the Feast of Saint Joseph, Archbishop Pio Laghi, Apostolic Delegate to the Church in the United States, and Archbishop Quinn, the Metropolitan, formally installed the first bishop of the new church and canonically erected the diocese.
In 1987 historic Saint Joseph Church was designated the Cathedral to replace the proto-cathedral, Saint Patrick Church.
On June 30, 1998, Most Rev. Patrick J. McGrath, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, was named by Pope John Paul II to become the Coadjutor to the Bishop of San Jose.
