Lesson Tutor: Classical Composer Camille Saint-Saens Biography
At the age of ten, blessed with perfect pitch, a prodigious memory and tireless energy, he was dazzling Paris audiences with brilliant recitals of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven.
I suppose it must be because of the aforementioned lack of emotion in his music that makes Saint Saens not one of my favorite composers, but there are a couple of exceptions to that statement.
Saint Saens too had his share in that field, but he composed such a fine body of orchestral and instrumental music that he contributed in no small measure to shifting the center of gravity away from the opera house and towards the concert hall.

Danse Macabre by Camille Saint Saens MP3
Camille Saint Saens was admired by Liszt and Gounod and taught Faure - working in Paris as a teacher and an organist at the Madeline.
The original orchestration has been greatly simplified with steel drums standing in for the strings and the pianos but the use of the marimba proved particularly effective in the Fossils piece.
For the Symphonic Poem - Danse Macabre by Camille Saint Saens, we adapted a piano transcription, augmenting the steel drums on this occasion with a flying sine synth, as well as bass, timpani and cymbals.
