Saint Vincent College is a four-year, coeducational, Catholic, liberal arts college in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, located forty miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
It is sponsored by the Benedictine Monks of Saint Vincent Archabbey, the first Benedictine monastery in the United States, founded in 1846.
The college is also well known as the host of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team's summer training camp.

 Growing Greener Grants Program
Saint Vincent College submitted a revised Scope of Work and Budget to Project Advisor Patrick Watt on March 7, 2001, to expand project activities for the Growing Greener Grant ME# 3591035 to include the construction of a freshwater drainage structure to resolve the saturation problem in the area of the first mesocosm cell.
Data indicate that 54.85 mg/L of iron entered the Saint Vincent Lake Drainage Basin from the redirection of the flow; the total iron at output indicated a reduction to 13.87 mg/L. It is assumed that the wetland plants and organic material are consuming the drainage.
Saint Vincent received more than 25 student applications for the eight Summer Institute field study positions; applications were received from students from Saint Vincent College and other regional colleges and universities, including California University of Pennsylvania, Lycoming College, and the University of Pittsburgh.

Saint Vincent College announced today that it will start a football program and apply for membership in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
Saint Vincent expects to play a full conference regular season schedule during its four-year provisional membership period (2006-2010).
Saint Vincent will complete an exploratory year with Division III on June 30 of this year.

Since 1997, Saint Vincent College and the Loyalhanna Mine Drainage Coalition have constructed three passive wetland systems on 20 acres of property, donated by the Saint Vincent Archabbey.
The wetlands are intended to restore the water quality of the Loyalhanna watershed by treating AMD discharges from 2.4 miles of Four Mile Run.
One popular event is the annual Summer Institute in Watershed Restoration, which provides opportunities for faculty and students from regional colleges to participate in chemical and biological field studies.
