A certain Japanese newspaper in Yamagata prefecture reported in its Feb. 3 issue that Koji Yakusho's role name in "SILK" was 'Hara Jubei', not 'Hara Kei' as in the original novel.
Sakata City was selected as one of the filming places for a movie called, gSILKh, which is going to be produced this year and then released all over the US and Japan, with the 2007 Cannes International Film Festival in view.
