		Historians have long debated whether third-century Queen Himiko's Yamatai Kingdom—one of the first places in Japan to be mentioned in written history—was located in Nara or Kyushu, but the burial chamber excavated at Sakurai's Hokenoyama tomb, and other nearby remains, strongly suggest a link to the queen.
		Takayasu Higuchi, who heads the Nara Prefectural Archaeological Institute dig at Hokenoyama, said the mirror closely resembles one of 100 similar ones that Wei presented to Himiko.

		Researchers here said burial chambers dating back to the mid-third century have been found at the Hokenoyama tomb in the city of Sakurai, and the raised burial area is one of the largest discovered from that time period.
		Kunihiko Kawakami, a senior researcher at the institute, said he believes the occupant of the coffin was a powerful local leader belonging to the generation of the father or grandfather of Himiko.
