		The hills around Salalah are not too spectacular as regards viewing from a distance, but what a relief to be up there in the cool mists and drizzle.
		We found it quite amusing to see families, some from as far as Saudi and Bahrain, sitting in the rain, food laid out and sipping tea as though they were on say, the moors in England, then we realised that that is what is was to them.

		If anyone has been to Salalah recently or is there now, can you recommend what I need to bring with me from the states that seems to be a comodity or you can't find in Salalah - i.e., Tylenol for the kids, shampoo, books for both teachers and leisure reading, etc.
		Not specific to Salalah, but laptops computers are cheaper in US than Gulf.
		If you can afford it, get a good lightweight laptop in the US - since you will want to have it in your carry-on.
