		You can't provide Deep support against cruisers, and in most battles, you won't outnumber the enemy by more than 3 Suits, so the only purpose I can see is to give your Suit Fighters a little extra push.

		Sorry for the minor hiijack, but I can't find any Gundam message boards anymore and I was kind of despairing of never being able to show my work.
		BTW, Salamis being a light cruiser: I think that may be derived from Tomino's novelizations, in which the Salamis is complemented by a heavy cruiser (and in any case, seeing the tin-can armor on the class we see in the show, I don't have any problem with it).
