Salesperson License   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-30)
A salesperson may only be licensed to one builder or M&A contractor, so serving as a representative for several builder or M&A contractors is not permitted by law.
To be licensed as a salesperson, an individual must pass an examination and have the builder or M&A contractor submit an application for licensure.
The licensing of salespersons is the only area of residential builder or M&A contractor licensing where the Board has authorized, by administrative rule, the use of a temporary license.

destinationCRM.com: How Can We Recognize a Great Salesperson?
The right salesperson should be able to help your customers do so--and help them to create solutions that they would not have been able to come up with on their own.
It's not enough for a salesperson to say, "You have a problem and it's costing you money." She must say, "We need to determine how much this is costing you and see if it make sense to pursue a solution." Vagueness is a red flag.
If a salesperson shies away from establishing an accurate cost, it's either because a) she doesn't know the cost (or is too lazy to do the work to find out), or b) she's afraid the cost will be too low to justify the solution she's offering.

Real Estate Salesperson License Transfer Information   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-30)
If the wall license has not already been returned by the former employing broker or it is not returned by the salesperson with the application, a detailed explanation regarding the reason must be included on the back of the license transfer application.
If the salesperson desires to make an immediate transfer, the signature of the new employing broker and the ending date of employment with the previous broker must be contained on the back of the pocket card.
If it has been more than two weeks since the salesperson’s employment was terminated with the previous employing broker, a salesperson cannot practice until the department issues a new wall license (which will have the pocket card attached) to the new broker.

 The Right Salesperson
Every business owner wants a salesperson who is friendly and personable as well as aggressive and persistent, someone who can understand customers rather than simply qualify them.
A good salesperson will not be discouraged that the presentation he or she made six months earlier hasn't resulted in a closed deal, and will stay in contact with the potential customer.
You don't want a salesperson who only sees how bad the economy is today, and is discouraged by lack of opportunities in the immediate future.

Top Sellers: Characteristics of a Superior Salesperson
A top salesperson clearly has the competitive edge over other salespeople; they have the characteristics needed to sell their products and create important relationships.
If the salesperson understands that the customer can only afford the bare necessities, he is more likely to make the sale by not pressuring the customer into buying something the customer cannot afford.
Empathy is the guidance mechanism that allows the salesperson to follow the prospect through evasions and objections until the prospect's real needs are targeted and the sale is closed (Greenberg and Greenberg, 1983).
