There is a millage proposal in Saline Township, a recall in Pittsfield Township, and a millage increase proposal for the Saline District Library.
On the ballot in Pittsfield Township is the rancorous recall of the township's supervisor, treasurer, and clerk.
Petitions supporting the recall and signed by some 2,600 township residents for each official were submitted to the Washtenaw County Clerk in March and were verified in May. The township officials contested the validity of the signatures in court, but a judge did not rule in their favor.

The first settlement in Vevay Township, outside of Mason, was known as the "Rolfe Settlement".
In the summer of 1836, three families of Rolfes (Nathan, Ira and Benjamin) came to Michigan from New York and settled in Vevay Township, making the trip by foot from Buffalo to Detroit, then by ox team from Detroit to Saline.
When the Rolfes first came to the township, the only improvement was a log house built on a small clearing in Mason.
