Salmoneus became King of Elis and founded the city of Salmonia.
Salmoneus is also the name of the founder of Sal's Realm, a fansite of Runescape, an MMORPG created by Jagex.

There were many sight gags, from the hideous caricatures of Autolycus and Salmoneus which the prince was showing around town on "Wanted" posters to the way Cupcake skewered the donut suggestively with her finger before taking a bite.

This map is set in a sheet metal factory, so Salmoneus has rightly gone for an industrial feel, with suspended metal walkways, concrete stairs, metal crates and even a slime pool.
The flow of the map is very good, and there is only one dead end, but this is well removed from the majority of the action and has some goodies to encourage you to make the small detour.
The corridor you teleport into has a purplish hue due to the glass roof which looks up at a purple clouded sky, and this darker corridor is one of a couple of nice, occasional contrasts to the fluorescent areas.

They capture the tough Salmoneus, while the childlike Salmoneus trades the lamp for coffee and the real Salmoneus fights with Autolycus about whose fault it is that they lost the lamp and with it the ability to contact the genie.
The tough Salmoneus agrees to tell the Sultan where to find the lamp in exchange for gold, but of course when they arrive the soldiers discover that the childlike Salmoneus has made off with the lamp.
Salmoneus also got some character range as we saw his inner child and inner tough guy...the latter of which resembled an overweight, aging Hercules, while the former was more like a Monty Python sketch.
