During the 1990s a new moulting place was established on the Danish island of Saltholm in the sound between Sweden and Denmark.
The number of moulting Greylags on Saltholm, just about 50 km from the study area in Scania, has increased over the years and in 1998 more than 14000 moulted here.
Marked Greylag Geese from the population in SW Scania have also been found on a number of other moulting sites in northern Europe, such as the Maribo lakes in Denmark, Hauke Haien Koog on the Schleswig-Holstein coast of Germany, Lake Tåkern and Hornborgasjön in south Sweden and in the moulting areas in central Norway.

 Peberholm - Art History Online Reference and Guide
Peberholm, literally "Pepper islet", is an artificial island which was built as part of the Oresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden.
The islet was constructed in proximity of the small natural island of Saltholm (Salt islet) and was named to complement it.
Peberholm is protected by strong laws and only biologists are allowed to visit the island — once a year — outside the boundaries of the railroad and highway that the island was created for.

Hi Ian I have been down your neck of the woods at Saltholm pools To see the Marsh Sandpiper, missed it the first day but was rewarded by good views or Wood Sandpiper and Male Garganey.
There was a Black Necked Grebe and Temmincks Stint on Saltholme Back Pool on Monday too.
I think Saltholm is superb and as the RSPB develope it and the surrounding area you are gonna have some amazing days birding.
