The Book of Mormon is a complex book covering a variety of historical, religious, political, and military events in a variety of ancient communities.
The early writers of the Book of Mormon spoke Hebrew, and the primary spoken and written language of subsequent generations was largely derived from Hebrew.
The Book of Mormon is offered as the most tangible and easiest test of the mission of Joseph Smith: he was either a forger and a con-man of the worst degree, or a prophet of God.

  The Book of Mormon
Believers of the book and members of the religion are known as Mormons, a nickname given to them during the early years of the church, which is a nickname that continues today.
As a Mormon myself, having a strong testimony of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon, I would suggest that if a member of the Mormon faith is at any time struggling with a certain principle of the gospel, that they revisit their testimony and faith in the Book of Mormon.
The Book of Mormon is also referred to as the Stick of Joseph, and The Bible has been referred to as the Stick of Judah, meaning these are the records of those two tribes of Israel.

And don't think that you'll see a big budget `Mormon Movie' not put out by the LDS church, if The Book of Mormon Movie was made for $40 million, or anything else considered big budget, it would never make the money back.
Personally I am not a fan of these `Mormon Movies.' But this is what a lot of people asked for so this is what they get.

The use of literary topoi is a fairly common ancient literary device found extensively in the Book of Mormon (and, incidentally, an evidence for the antiquity of the text).
It is quite pointless to argue that because the Book of Mormon does not correlate with early twenty-first century linguistic categories, that is somehow evidence that the Book of Mormon is ahistorical.
Thus, anti-Mormons insist that the Book of Mormon must be evaluated on the basis of modern metallurgical terminology and science, which has categories and distinctions completely foreign to ancient peoples such as the ancient Egyptians and Hebrews, who had a single term covering what now is divided into many different categories.
