Sam Coslow (December 27, 1902 - April 2, 1982) was an American songwriter, singer and film producer.
He contributed songs to Broadway revues, formed the music publishing company Spier and Coslow in 1928 and made a number of vocal recordings.
Coslow and his partner Larry Spier sold their publishing business to Paramount Pictures and Coslow became a Paramount songwriter.

American pop and show tunes composer/lyricist Sam Coslow [+] was an important part of pop music during the '20s and '30s, writing such hits as "My Old Flame" and music for successful films of the time.
Most of Coslow's best-known songs are from the early to mid-'30s, including "Sing You Sinners," "Just One More Chance," "Thanks," "Moon Song," "Learn to Croon," and "Cocktails for Two." Throughout his career, Coslow worked with various composers such as Harry Woods [+], Fred Hollander, and Abner Silver [+].
Although Sam Coslow [+] spent his retirement years in Florida, he was back in N.Y.C. by the time of his death at the age of 79.

It was the early days of sound movies, and Coslow was the first Broadway songwriter to be hired by Paramount.
Coslow joined with Herbert Mills, of Mills Novelty, and with James Roosevelt, son of then-President Franklin Roosevelt, to found RCM Productions in order to produce soundies for the Panoram machine.
Sam Coslow died in New York City on April 2, 1982.
