I don't think Sam was very hands-on with it at all but it was definitely spawned from him and created by his bastard children at Renaissance Pictures (Rob Tapert, more specifically).
Sam has inspired me greatly in that aspect and I may not have gotten as heavily into filmmaking as I have had it not been for my worshipping him.
I consider Sam to be one of the biggest influences on me outside of my family, if not the biggest.
