	In Cambodia, Hun Sen is in the driver's seat
		Later that day, Chea Sim was escorted by national police director General Hok Lundy, a close ally of Hun Sen, to Bangkok, and Chea Sim's replacement as the king's representative, Nhiek Bun Chhay, quickly signed the legislation, known as the "Additional Constitution".
		Chea Sim's exit has been seen as proof of a schism in the famously monolithic CPP, which celebrated its 53rd anniversary on June 28.
		In addition to Chea Sim's departure, there are also concerns about the size of the new cabinet, the largest in Cambodian history.

	Cambodia: UN Memorandum re Executions

		King Norodom Sihanouk denied a report that he wrote a letter to the Cambodia People’s Party (CPP) President Chea Sim to suggest him to be prime minister of the new government, according to the King’s letter, which was sent to Chea Sim and broadcast on radios and TVs today.
		Meanwhile, Chea Sim wrote a letter to King Sihanouk, saying that he didn’t receive such a letter from the King.

		I am hoping Samdech Chea Sim will not rush the vote to ratify the treaty but he will rather take time to deliberate it in a serious and methodical manner.
		I hope that Samdech Chea Sim will use all his wisdom to reject the treaty that the National Assembly had just ratified without serious consideration through just a mere 8 hours of deliberation.
		Possibility No. 3: I dare to hope that Hun Sen will die either before Samdech Chea Sim has a chance to ratify or reject the treaty or before King Norodom Sihamoni was forced to make a choice whether or not to sign the treaty.
