THEODORE B. MOORE is the senior member of the firm Moore and Franklin, and successors to Moore and Falls, real estate, insurance and loans at Liberal, and has been a factor in the varied development and business enterprise of this part of the Southwest for a number of years.
His grandfather, Samuel C. Moore, was a native of North Carolina, lived in one of the western counties of that state, was a Quaker, and as his association with that faith would indicate, was a pronounced abolitionist.
Moore was born August 31, 1866, at Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and it is perhaps of interest to note that she was married the same year that the great and calamitous flood overwhelmed her birthplace.

William J. and Mary O'Daniel Moore moved to Texas from Alabama with their family in 1845, and settled in Lavaca County in 1853 on 500 acres.
In the 1860's, Samuel and his brother William Moore bought 12,000 acres of land lying between the present towns of Moulton and Shiner.
In 1997 a historical marker was erected marking Kloesel's Steakhouse and Bar as the site of the Moore Hotel, a historical landmark built by Samuel Moore, one of the original founders and settlers of Moulton.

Need help on info about Victoria Reese b.1874, married Louis Landess or Landers 1886 in Lincoln co. 1900 Census of Moore County shows them in the 9th district of Moore County, family says she died about 1904 giving child birth and is buried in Charity cemetery, no marker.
From NC to Bedford Co., TN: Sons Samuel W. and William W. believed to have died in Moore County ca 1890.

 Austells in Arkansas
Samuel L. Austell came to Pickens County, Alabama, in 1837 from Spartanburg Dist., South Carolina and located at Carrollton; he formed a legal co-partnership with Gov. Samuel B. Moore, which continued until 1845, when they dissolved and Mr.
Austell and Lemuel A. Gilkey entered into a partnership in the practice of law.
It seems likely that many of the Austells in Arkansas are descendants of Samuel L. Austell, at least the ones around St. Francis County.
