The Stars are the sister team of the San Antonio Spurs.
In 2003, the Silver Stars made their first major roster move when they traded star Natalie Williams along with Coretta Brown to the Indiana Fever in exchange for Sylvia Crawley and Gwen Jackson.
Since moving to San Antonio, however, the franchise has been largely unable to change its losing trend and has not made the playoffs, in sharp contrast to their current NBA counterpart, the San Antonio Spurs, who are one of the NBA's most successful teams.

The Silver Stars shot 37 percent from the field (22-of-59) in the sloppy affair but held the Comets to just over 30 percent (19-of-63).
