		The San Gabriel Valley is a large sub-region in the northeast portion of the Los Angeles urbanized area, and is home to roughly one-fifth of the county’s population and workforce.
		The Valley is bounded on the east by the San Bernardino county line, on the north by the Angeles National Forest, on the south by Highway 60, and on the west by the Los Angeles City and Glendale municipal boundaries.
		The commuting patterns confirm that the San Gabriel Valley is economically integrated with the Los Angeles metro area, and secondarily with the Riverside-San Bernardino metro area.
