Municipal Stadium is located one block from Spartan Stadium, home to the SJSU football team and the MLS San Jose Earthquakes.
Additionally part of Municipal Stadium's parking lot was converted into an indoor ice area named Logitech Ice at San Jose which is the practice venue for the San Jose Sharks NHL hockey team during the late 1990s.
The stadium also features a souvenir stand and a luxury "porch" where fans can be treated much as they would at a skybox in a MLB stadium, with food and drinks brought to them by attendants.

As early as 1874, organized baseball was played in San Jose and since the opening of Municipal Stadium in 1942, baseball has been a mainstay to the city of San Jose as minor league affiliates from nine different major league clubs have sent their finest prospects through “Muni”.
In 1940, the San Jose City council unanimously approved plans to build a 2,900 seat baseball stadium at the corner of Alma Avenue and Senter Road.
By opening day 1942, the stadium was ready for play except for the parking lot which was covered with a grain crop that was not yet ready for harvest.

In terms of appearance and vibe it reminded me quite a bit of a place like Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, only without the roof.
And someone here sure likes to paint -- along the entrance to the third base side of the stands is a series of large wooden panels, decorated with the hand-painted, full-color logos of every minor league team -- even those in the independent leagues.
Furthermore, a large panel was painted with the history of professional ball in San Jose, including dates, players, and logos of the old franchises.
