By working together, San Mateo County and the California Secretary of State were able to establish the infrastructure for electronic notary seals, opening the way for all California counties to take advantage of the benefits of electronic document recording.
Other counties in California have implemented electronic recording solutions, but San Mateo is the first to combine government-to-government services and private sector document submission services in a single system.
