Sanctacaris is a Middle Cambrian arthropod from the Burgess shale of British Columbia.
Sanctacaris appears to be a primitive chelicerate arthropod.
There are 11 body segments each with a pair of walking legs and gills.

The image on the left is a fossil of the chelicerate arthropod Sanctacaris (10 cm in length).
On the right is a reconstruction of Sanctacaris as it appeared in life.
This section is part of a Fossil Lagerstätten web site which has been built up as a result of the efforts of the 2002-3 MSc Palaeobiology class in the Department of Earth Sciences at University of Bristol, as part of a course in Scientific Communication.

 Sanctacaris: An arthropod
Its mouth appendages were clearly jointed, and it had a hard exoskeleton and many other characteristics of arthropods.
In fact, Sanctacaris was probably a chelicerate —; the arthropod group that includes spiders, scorpions, and horseshoe crabs.
This group got its start in the Precambrian seas, invaded the land more than 400 million years ago, and still thrives today.

This scenario fits your discomforts and need for lubrication.
For sanctacaris: if you had a machine that gave you nightly data you might find out that you are not having good enough results and need to increase pressure, or try another machine/pap solution method.
So many people are on cpap and not doing well and not knowing why and not changing machines...
