Sand Rock, Little Rock City, Cherokee Rock Village) is located in northeastern Alabama, near the southern end of 80 mile long Lookout Mountain, just north of the town of Leesburg.
The rock formations are visible from the parking area requiring only a short walk to reach the closest.

I thought it was going to be way hot but a south east sea breeze sprung up and it kept us nicely cooled even though we were in full sun till 1 in the afternoon
Just got back from Skaha bluffs in Penticton B.C.The weather was mild(for Canada eh),the rock dry and free of snow.Met a few hikers but we were the only ones climbing.If this keeps up I may never climb ice in B.C. this winter.
