Nicaragua: The sorry path of Sandinism
To a large extent this fact is a result of the attempt to put out of the way in an artificial manner an objective reality, such as the existence of Sandinism as the total force of public opinion.
It is evident that, by their petty-bourgeois substance manifest in the democratic principles, in the interclassism, and in the nationalism which stand out clearly above the assertion of the continental character of the revolutionary struggle, the early positions of the Sandinistas already contained their future tendencies in embryo.
Yet it did take another step forward on the sorry course of Sandinism, which supported the MPU unreservedly (moreover the FSLN was the principal author of the MPU programme), by making certain changes which guarantee the bourgeoisie that it renounces all revolutionary voluntarism.

CNN Cold War - Interviews: Daniel Ortega
I was brought up a Christian, but I regarded Christ as a rebel, a revolutionary, someone who had committed himself to the poor and the humble and never sided with the powerful.
I had a Christian upbringing, so I would say that my main early influences were a combination of Christianity, which I saw as a spur to change, and Sandinism, represented by the resistance against the Yankee invasion.
Later, the triumph of the Cuban Revolution was very influential, and Fidel, Che, and Camilo [Cienfuegos] became our main role models.

On one thread, you accused me of being a TERRORIST supporter, and here you accuse me of being a HERETIC because I reminded you, you our resident REAL historian, that Sandinism was influenced by Catholic liberation theology.
Maybe it was'nt written in your USA "authorised" history tome, as there does seem to be quite a few chapters missing from your edition eh?
