Sandra Lee Wirth, Republican-Conservative, is the Assemblywoman from the 142nd Assembly District, which includes the Towns of West Seneca, Lancaster, Elma, and Clarence, along with part of the City of Buffalo.
Previously, Sandra Lee was an Erie County Legislator, first elected in 1991 and re-elected in 1993.
Sandra Lee has been called a Citizen Legislator because of her sponsorship and support of numerous government reform measures and her belief that elected officials are, first and foremost, public servants.

When Wirth’s husband Bill was sick, the Assemblywoman hopped on the New York State Thruway, and would drive up and back to Albany on the same day.
Wirth’s 142nd Assembly District stretched from Lockport, to Clarence, down to Elma.

Wirth died Saturday at her Elma home, she was 60 years old.
Wirth's first political outing was in 1991 when, as a realtor and president of a local realtor association, she took issue with the Erie County Legislture's raising of the transfer tax  purchasers pay on real estate.
