The words "sanyasa" and "karmayoga" do not really denote the duties and responsibilities of the mendicant and the family man: renunciation is nothing but giving up human weaknesses like desire, hatred and attachment which are embedded in the mind.
Thus as sanyasa and karmayoga are mutually complementary, one should not be content with merely discarding feelings like desire, etc.; we should bring fullness to our effort by performing actions in a spirit of dedication.
