The Saraiki research Center will seek to identify the known books, journals, articles and documents related to the region and maintain a record of such materials in the major libraries of Pakistan.
As in adjunct to the texts that will be preserved in the library, computerized records of human, natural and other environmental features will also be preserved in the library, for use by the scholars.
A small seminar who hall with multimedia equipment is being prepared in one section of the Saraiki Research Center where such archived materials will be displayed from time to time for the scholar and students interested in studying the region or its socio-cultural, linguistics and architectural heritage etc.

Saraiki National Party President Abdul Majeed Khan Kanjoo said that dialogue between the two countries should not ignore the benefits of reopening of such an old route that might lead to promotion of trade and peace and visits by divided families.
The Saraiki leader said the opening of the Multan-Delhi route would also lead to harmony between the people of the two countries and may lead to visits by hundreds of thousands of Saraiki people from India who left their motherland in 1947.

The Saraiki regions now in the Punjab have to form a new federating unit; and the historically Pashtun areas dumped on Balochistan have to merge in the NWFP to become a federating unit called Pashtunistan, Pakhtunkhawa or Afghania.
The primacy of the Balochi lanuage in Balochistan, of the Sindhi language in Sindh, of the Saraiki language in Saraikia / Saralkistan, of the Pashtu language in Pashtunistan and of the Panjabi language in Punjab have to be recognized on all levels and for all purposes.
For us the Baloch, Sindhis, Saraikis and the Pashtuns, as far as living together with the Punjabis and Muhajirs in a single state is concerned, the dream of federalism is dead -- killed by the Panjabis and the Muhajirs themselves.

QUETTA, May 8: The Pakistan Oppressed Nations Movement (Ponam) has said that political issues faced by deprived provinces should be settled through recognition of their rights as suppression of voice by force will push the country towards destabilization.
Speakers at a public meeting in Khuzdar late Friday blamed the rulers and Punjab leadership for denying the rights to Baloch, Pukhtun, Sindhi and Saraiki people and said that they were creating misunderstanding between the federating units.
Mr Achakzai said that the oppressed provinces would not compromise on their rights and power sharing should be made in accordance with the 1940 resolution.

In case of a needed referendum within the Saraiki or semi-Saraiki regions for the creation of such a Saraiki suba, only those who (or whose parents or grand parents) lived in the area before Pakistan was created will have the right to vote.
Only the locals who lived in the five or six federating units before Pakistan was created --- or their progeny including the diaspora (such) Baloch, Sindhis, Saraikis, Punjabis, and Pashtuns --- will have the right to vote for the representation of their respective province in such a Constituent Assembly.
