If growing species Sarcanthinae those best grown on mounts are Sarcochilus falcatus, Sarco.
Don't be put off - if your plant looks unhappy it could be that the mix has broken down and they go backwards at a rate of knots when this happens!
Overall Sarcanthinae growing is very rewarding and by keeping to a few hard and fast rules success is assured!

Unfortunately this year (actually 2003 when the actual pollinations were done) was a bad year for us in the sarcochilus and Sarcanthinae species breeding department.
It is or was extremely frustrating to pollinate the flowers, have the pods sit on the plants for 6 to 9 months then slice them open in the sterile cabinet to find nothing, zilch even Zippo.
Any breach may be prosecuted under the copyright act.
