The Sariska Tiger Reserve is an Indian National Park located in the Alwar District of the state of Rajasthan.
The park is situated 107 km north east of the state capital Jaipur.
Some of the wildlife found in the Sariska Tiger Reserve include the tiger, leopard, jungle cat, hyena, jackal, chital, sambar, gaur, langur, wild boar and several species of birds.

Chandigarh: After losing all 10 tigers at the hands of poachers in less than three years, the Sariska National Park in Alwar is awaiting a tiger and a tigress from the Ranthambore and the Kanha reserve forests.
He said six tigers were poached in 2002-03 and four in 2004 alone, while the CBI was presently investigating the entire case in which the bigwigs in poaching from Delhi and elsewhere were involved.
The Rajasthan Government had permitted the CBI to probe the disappearance of tigers in Sariska in June 2005 on the request of the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests.

When the jungle fell silent to the roar of the tiger in March, a special investigating team of the CBI reported to the Prime Minister that there were no tigers left in Sariska, and that poaching was the main reason behind the disappearance of tigers from the reserve.
While the Prime Minister told the CBI to probe the case of the missing big cats from Sariska, he is reported to be following the case closely, including the activities of master poacher Sansar Chand, who alone is said to have poached over 100 tigers last year.
