The Saskatchewan Forest Centre (SFC) was established as a non-profit organization in 2001, with an aim to improve the knowledge base for the forestry sector in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.
The name is also applied to the building in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan that houses the organization and other forest sector tenants.
Two core initiatives are the SFC Forest Resource Centre and the SFC Virtual Data Warehouse (VDW).

It is the Seed Centre’s policy to provide seed at no cost for scientific research.

The Discovery Centre is the home of "Scotty" the tyrannosaurus rex, the first T.rex skeleton found in Saskatchewan and only the third near-complete skeleton found in Canada.

The Northern Forestry Centre (NoFC) in Edmonton, Alberta is the Canadian Forest Service office responsible for the forested regions of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories.
This resulted in significant collections of prairie insects, primarily from research labs at Indian Head, Saskatchewan, and Aweme, Manitoba.
