	Satannish - A Small History
		Satannish (also known as Satannish the Supreme) is known as one of the Earth's most powerful demons to have dealings with the people of Earth.
		Satannish inhabited a pocket dimension accessible from Earth, and over the centuries he has had frequent dealings with many of the people of Earth.
		Satannish hoped that the resulting battle would allow Satannish to manifest on Earth, and, by way of his televised appearance, he would be able to take the souls of all who viewed him.

		According to his accounts, the demonic lord Satannish had long sought the destruction of all the gods of earth because they had prevented him from taking it over in the past.
		By this point, he had been lead to believe that Satannish himself was his father and through some technicality he was, but Satannish had never revealed he had father him through the degenerated god Marduk.
		His godly powers, however, once fully bolstered by Satannish’s unholy demonic energies, rendered him more power than a typical Mesopotamian god, but at the same time, made him subjective to having to absorb the life-energies (souls) of living things to exist after expending a great expenditure of energy.

	Lethal Legion
		With the Hangman (a movie star who had sold his soul to Satannish) as their field leader, this Legion was assigned to kill Satannish's Avengers foes and capture their souls, in exchange for which Satannish would supposedly restore the Legion fully to life.
		The Legion finally managed to lure the Avengers to Satannish's realm, but a vengeful Mephisto slipped in with them and fought Satannish for the four stolen souls, all of which were destroyed in the battle.
		Satannish himself was later destroyed by Mephisto, but whether Hangman, Nefaria, the Reaper or anyone else will rebuild the Lethal Legion remains uncertain.

		My first concern, that the continuity of Dr Strange, Sorcerer Supreme #5-8 was being ignored, was addressed by a reference in Hellcat #3 to the deception played out in that previous story.
		Dr Strange apparently discerned that Satannish and Mephisto were both fragments of a greater original evil, and defeated them by threatening to recombine them so they lost their unique personalities and were one again.
		Satannish then disguised himself as Satan (was Satan all along?) and fathered Daimon Hellstrom and presumably Satana.

		The Marvel Comics version appears as a gigantic being composed of ice and is over 1,000 feet tall.
