		Saturday Night Live (SNL) is a weekly late-night ninety-minute live comedy-variety show which has been on NBC since 1975.
		Each week, the show's cast is joined by a guest host and a musical act, forming a repertory company for the week.
		Symbolic of the problems faced by the show, cast member Charles Rocket realized the network's greatest fear when he used a proscribed four-letter-word at the close of an episode in early 1981.

		His casting as the news guy pretty much sums up the other reason (besides untalented cast and lame sketches) the show JTS...improper casting; Quinn IS funny as a stereotypical longshoreman type New Yorker, but he sucks as a "suit." Case in point, the "Brooklyn Santa" bit he did for a Christmas show.
		Saturday night Live goes through it's periods of funniness and unfunniness but I think one of the funniest sketches was when they had Christopher Walken on pretending to be this gigalo-type character with a fake mustache.
