War memorials in Saunderton have been transcribed by Peter Quick, and published in a booklet entitled "War Memorials and War Graves: Aylesbury Hundred part three - Risboroughs, Missendens and their environs, Volume 9", available from the Buckinghamshire Genealogical Society.
In the earliest government census of 1801, there were 193 inhabitants in 25 families living in 25 houses recorded in Saunderton.

Train users at Saunderton station are worried that services to Wycombe and London could be cut when a new timetable is implemented in May.
The peak time service from Marylebone to Saunderton was cut from ten trains to seven in September and a further cut is expected in May to reduce it to six.
The proposed new service would mean an hourly service to Saunderton between 4pm and 7pm but plans to scrap the 7.02am service to London were reversed after commuters complained.

After Saunderton station the gradients certainly ease for northbound trains and from what I remember of my early spotting days at P. Ris just post-war there was a descent as you approached that place.
Saunderton Bank proper is definitely the climb on the Wycombe side of Saunderton station.

L1693 With the delays caused by the congestion on the Metropolitan Railway section of the London Extension, the Great Central joined forces with the Great Western railway to construct a new line into the capital.
In order to make the route more suitable for a higher frequency service, the Great Central rebuilt it as a double track line, involving a great deal of heavy engineering.

L1803 New permanent way laid in a chalk cutting on the Great Western and Great Central Joint Line, circa 1905.
Although the construction of the Joint Line involved widening the existing Great Western Railway from a single, to two lines of track, for practical reasons the two lines were forced to diverge north of Saunderton.
At a point south of the village, the line came together again.
