| | Print Page - Mohamed abdulle hassan, was he a somali hero? (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08) |
 | | As we all know, Mohamed abdulle hassan also known as “The mad mullah”, was a leader of so called anti colony movement known as the “Daraawiish” who were fighting against the British in northern Somalia “Somaliland” and he gained number of victories over the British troops such as “the battle of Taleh”. |
 | | Of course Sayid Mohammed Abdulle Hassan is seen as a hero by a lot of Somalis, and I respect their reasoning as well as their hero. |
 | | Some may claim that Sayid was very cruel man. Mostly people obeyed him out of fear, any person or tribe who did not agree to submit to him would be labeled Kufar's and he would order his soldiers to kill them, their children, women and their property snatched. |
