Lloyd Banks - The Hunger For More Music Review
Though there’s been some exciting newcomers that have livened up the rap genre this year (Kanye, Dizzee) I can’t help but miss the days when A Tribe Called Quest, early Wu-Tang Clan, and The Roots were at the height of their game.
This is pretty much the scenario I envisioned when I first started to listen to Lloyd Banks' The Hunger for More.
As though all this Hunger For More might just be a cheap case of the munchies.

(Alternative Rap/Jazz Rap) A Tribe Called Quest- The Low End Theory. - Musician Forums
Often regarded as the highlight of the alternative rap scene, A Tribe called Quest fused highly intelligent lyrics with jazzy beats to create a sound that was as unique as it was awesome.
Scenario was voted the best rap song of all time a while back.
If you find yourself disliking rap because of the "YO WHERE MY HOES AT" bs, but are still open to new styles, then i highly reccomend The Low End Theory.

Future star Busta Rhymes contributes a fierce, goofy cameo on the album closer "Scenario." I can't agree with those who consider this a hip hop landmark, because it's low on musical originality and emotional force, but it's worth a spin.
Even when the rhymes are sharp ("Mind Power," "Word Play") or the sample is good (the guitar riff of "Keeping It Moving") the low-energy delivery and production drag it down.
The new approach is simple drum loop, keyboard bass and slow tempo, which all adds up to a surprisingly (compared to their early work) boring set of tracks.

His mellow flow and nasal tone have graced many classic tunes, including "Bonita Applebaum" and "Scenario." Tip has also collaborated with a wide variety of acts, from Native Tongues breathren like Black Sheep and the Jungle Brothers to mega-star Janet Jackson.
