How are they loaded and unloaded, are they ran as a regular car or a special train, if a special train, what else is in the consist, etc. I got one for Christmas and I'm not sure how to run it.
Basically, Schnabel loads are welded or otherrwise attached to pickup points that hook into each end of the car.
The papers also said that the empty schnabel cars were to pulled on the rear of a train not exceeding 100 cars in length.

Does this mean that this particular Schnabel car has been sitting on TMI property (not necessarily loaded) for that long, or is that referring to the transformer?
Seems that the siding should have been 150 feet of straight track to do it right, but the crew only had 125.(the car assembled measures 122' coupler to coupler) The whole mess was ~3.5" out of square for a painless reassembly.
