School for Scoundrels is setup at The Weinstein Co.
The filmmaking pair, whose prior collaborations include Starsky and Hutch, Old School and Road Trip, have been developing the comedy for years.
The film, which stars Billy Bob Thornton and Napoleon Dynamite's Jon Heder, is a remake of a 1960 British comedy that centers around a down-on-his luck meter reader who takes a confidence-building course to help him win his dream girl (Barrett).

Heder will soon begin production on “School for Scoundrels,” in which he stars opposite Billy Bob Thornton under the direction of Todd Phillips.
Executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, the film is due out in summer 2006.
Next spring, Heder will star in the comedy “The Benchwarmers,” directed by Dennis Dugan from a script co-written by Adam Sandler.
