		A school massacre is an incident of attempted mass murder involving at least one actual death that occurs at a school.
		In the worst school massacre in United States history, the Bath School disaster, the perpetrator was a member of the school board.
		The Red Lake High School massacre in 2005 (Red Lake, Minnesota) was a notable exception, copying the element of a gunman in a fl trench coat.

		It is considered to be the deadliest school shooting, and the second deadliest attack on a school in United States history after the Bath School disaster.
		Several of the victims who were believed to have been killed for their religious beliefs became a source of inspiration to others, notably Christians, and led some to lament the decline of religion in public education and society in general.
		Unlike most other school shootings, the fact that both shooters committed suicide made this one particularly haunting, as answers would be slow in coming, and there would be no arrests or trial through which the victims could vent their outrage.
