The Shukhov radio tower, also known as the Shabolovka tower (Шуховская башня in Russian) is a 160-metre-high free-standing steel framework hyperbolic tower in Moscow, which was built between 1919 and 1922 as a transmission tower for the Russian broadcasting company.
The Shukhov radio tower is not accessible to tourists, and consists of a steel framework construction in form of a hyperboloid of revolution.
It was the first such hyperboloid structure in the world.
