  Don Markstein's Toonopedia: Julius Schwartz
Julius Schwartz — known to one and all as "Julie" — was more than just a DC Comics editor.
Schwartz was editing the entire comics process by the late '40s, overseeing some of the series DC had gotten from All-American — Green Lantern, The Justice Society of America et al.
Julie Schwartz died February 8, 2004 — but even in his final years, he maintained an active role in the comics industry, and was a familiar and welcome sight at comic book conventions.

Schwartz begins with the observation that the Court is both "mirror and motor," that it sometimes reflects society and sometimes pushes society to move in certain directions.
Schwartz admits there was opposition to the practice, but the entire discussion has about it a teleological sense of the inevitability of judicial review.
Schwartz never really considers the depth or the credibility of opposition to judicial review, in large part because, as he himself notes in several places, he takes for granted the centrality of judicial review to the constitutional order as a whole.

FrontPage magazine.com :: State Department Outrage: The Firing Of Stephen Schwartz by Ronald Radosh
Stephen Schwartz, one of the most prominent commentators on the war against terrorism, and particularly on the role of the Saudis, has been dismissed from his post as an editorial writer, assigned to the new Middle East radio network at The Voice of America.
Schwartz obviously was let go because he refused to toe the line, and had refused previously to join 100 of his VOA colleagues who signed a petition supporting the defense of a radio platform to terrorists and their supporters.
Schwartz, in fact, is a rare man of many colors; at home not only in reporting, but in evaluating major historical and intellectual questions.

CD Baby: ERIC SCHWARTZ: That's How It's Gonna Be
Spinning tales from his tangled inner web, Schwartz uses honesty, humor and irony to build a landscape where nothing is sacred, and everything is, well, a little different.
"In dealing with diverse subjects with a singular talent, Schwartz not only demonstrates a command of many styles of music, but ushers in what will hopefully be a new breed of songwriters who can deal with traditional, modern, and postmodern forms with near-equal aplomb," explained Matthew Robinson in the Boston Globe.
"That's How It's Gonna Be" is a debut album that demonstrates the scope of Schwartz' talent, the kind that places him on a major festival stage or college campus one week, and in a comedy club in LA the next.
