Case Study Collection - National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science In this interrupted case study, students are asked to diagnose the problem based on the babies' signs and symptoms as well as their knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the heart and the changes that occur in the heart after birth. This case study was inspired by a successful lawsuit brought by students against a professor at Pace University who had assigned them the task of calculating the cost of a single aluminum atom in a roll of aluminum foil.
