Scott County was explored as early as 1774.
Scott went on to the 1794 victory at Fallen Timbers, and served as Governor from 1808 - 1812.

The focus is on writing in Kentucky's Scott County School District, but the result of that writing is definitely "Digital Age." Twenty teachers in this progressive district have been involved in a yearlong exploration of the writing process that has moved from paper to the big screen.
According to project leaders in Scott County, the "Seven Elements of Digital Storytelling" are an excellent complement to the "Six Scoring Criteria" in the Kentucky writing assessment.
The process through which students must travel as they select an appropriate story, restructure that story in response to the Seven Elements model, create storyboards, gather content, and finally produce their video introduces them to new ways to focus on writing as a means to communicate with and potentially move an audience.
