Scott Shriner (born July 11, 1965 in Toledo, Ohio) is the current bassist for alternative rock band Weezer.
Shriner moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of 25 and played in several bands, including Broken, Bomber, The Movers, Exciters, Loved By Millions, Black Elvis, The Great Barbecue Gods and most notably, Vanilla Ice's backing band.
In the summer of 2002, Shriner joined Weezer on a provisional basis.

Anyways, Scott is the youngest member of weezer at 30.
Enjoys video games and movies, Scott is a fun loving kid, and has played in plenty of bands before weezer, but i am unsure which.
I dont know a lot about scott other than he is very metal and might change weezer slightly.

Scott played the trumpet in the fourth grade and when he figured that the trumpet is not one of the coolest instruments in the world he asked his dad while in high school, "what is that instrument that makes that low bump bump pop?" And from then on he has played the bass.

At one point, during a break to introduce the members, Rivers states with a low-key-cum-quasi-superhero roll call: “Brian Bell on guitar, Scott Shriner on bass, Pat Wilson on drums and my name’s RiversÂ… Together we are Weezer.” As if this audience needed any reminding.
Especially after they were thrown into an emotionally chaotic fury during "In the Garage" when the beacon of all things Weezer, the big glowing "W", made it’s presence known.
While most encores are stale and by the numbers, this was one show where you could just feel that the audience wished it would keep going until daybreak.

It's there precisely because Rivers leaves room for this kind of thing; he knows the band can deliver the goods, which only makes their unity and purpose stronger.
From the compact, highly melodic four-bar break on "December" to longer stretches on "Love Explosion", "Fall Together" and other tracks, his playing is all over the place.
