ITHACA, N.Y. - Scott Urick, a two-time All-America selection as captain of the Georgetown Hoyas, was named part-time assistant coach of the Cornell University men's lacrosse team, it was announced Aug. 30 by head coach Jeff Tambroni.
Urick, a 2000 graduate with a bachelor's degree in government, led the Hoyas to the NCAA tournament in each of the last four seasons, including the 1999 Final Four.
He set the single-season marks for both goals (47) and ground balls (97) in 1999, a season which culminated with Urick being named to the NCAA all-tournament team, and he left the Hoyas with the career record for both goals (144) and ground balls (224).
