Scott Weiland (born October 27, 1967 in Santa Cruz, California) is an American musician, lyricist and vocalist.
Weiland met bassist Robert DeLeo at a Black Flag concert, and shortly thereafter formed the band Mighty Joe Young with DeLeo's brother Dean on guitar and Eric Kretz on drums.
Weiland is a Notre Dame football fan, as his father is an alumnus from the school.

Scott Weiland was born in 1968, in Chargin Falls, Ohio.
Weiland's natural father had another son that was only nine months younger than Scott, and Scott us to visit them during the summer when he was younger, but when Scott was eleven, his stepbrother was killed in a car accident.
Scott has been in and out of rehab many times in the past few years and now he has landed himself in jail for his most recent drug abuse, but he is working his hardest to overcome his addiction.

Scott Weiland is one of my favorite performers because of his flamboyancy and vocal abilities.
They'd just released their -probaly- worst album, Weiland himself was hampered by his well known drug problems, and a release of a solo album from his part didnt exactly seem like the best idea he could come up with.
Weiland didnt opt for the straight rock approach like it was assumed he would've, but instead he delivered an LP heavy on electronics, effects, and otherworldy atmoshpere (for his glam rock standards).
