		Scott Young (April 14, 1918 – June 12, 2005) was a sportswriter and novelist and the father of folk rocker Neil Young.
		Young was born in 1918 in Cypress River, Manitoba.
		Young first became famous as a sportswriter and hockey commentator for CBC Television in the 1950s.
