The Scottish Parliament is composed of 129 members (referred to as MSPs, short for "Members of the Scottish Parliament"; or in Gaelic as BPnA, short for "Buill PĂ rlamaid na h-Alba").
Following his election to the UK Parliament in the general election of 2005, David Mundell (Conservative) resigned his seat at Holyrood and was replaced by Derek Brownlee.
