  The Scottish Unionist Party
The "Scottish Unionist Party", or "Unionist Party" as it was known within Scotland, was the main Tory or Conservative organisation in Scotland between 1912 and 1965.
Whilst the party may have been linked on a Parliamentary level with the Conservative and Unionist Party in England and Wales, it was conscious that it had to appeal to the middle class liberal tradition in Scotland and studiously avoided using the term "Conservative".
This was at odds with the past Scottish Unionist position of "service to others and to the community" and was graphically illustrated by the cool reception she received at the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland when she made her "Sermon on the Mound".

Taki’s Magazine, edited by Taki Theodoracopulos
The Scottish Conservative party is an inherently flawed vehicle for the advancement of conservatism in Scotland.
The second option is for the party simply to be dissolved and for unionist conservatives to join their nationalist conservative confrères in the Scottish Nationalist Party to form a united bloc of sensible people in the party.
Unionist conservatives ought to oppose all three and nationalist conservatives should at least join in opposing further centralization and the abolition of the Crown, both of which would result in removing any checks on the power of Britain’s political class.

Scottish Unionist Party (modern) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The SUP is an ideologically Scottish Unionist party which opposes the idea of Scottish independence from the rest of the United Kingdom.
The SUP campaigns against what it believes are anti-Protestant government policies and opposed moves to try and change the Act of Settlement 1701 which disallows the British monarch from marrying a Catholic.
The party is strongly critical of mainstream parties for what it views as a failure to safeguard the Act of Union 1707; this criticism extends even to the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, who they believe are not being 'unionist' enough.

Scottish Conservatives will give clear and unequivocal support to a zero tolerance approach to crime because much crime is of an opportunistic nature.

The Scotsman - Opinion - Letters - Unionist label strikes a note of discord with Scottish voters
As a retired Scottish Conservative MSP, I have the highest regard for David McLetchie, but he possibly does not realise the passions that are aroused in some parts of the west of Scotland, and in particular Glasgow, where sections of the population associate the term unionist with Ulster unionism (your report, 9 May).
In fact, from early in the 20th century until the mid-1960s, Scottish Tories campaigned at general elections under the title of the "Scottish Unionist Party", or the "Unionist Party", as a means of consolidating their traditional Orange working-class support, especially in the west of Scotland.
It would now appear that elements in the party are at long last beginning to recognise that the word "Unionist" in the title acts as a disincentive to voting Tory north of the Border.

The Scottish Executive targeted sectarianism as Scotland’s secret shame and yet by continuing to support segregated schooling they are failing to act against one of the main causes of this social ill.

SCOTTISH Tories voted overwhelmingly in Perth yesterday to maintain their opposition to devolution, over-ruling an impassioned plea for a change of heart.
However, the party agreed to contest the elections for a new parliament if it was established and gave those Tories who do wish to support devolution the freedom to campaign for it.
In the first conference of the Scottish Conservatives since the party was wiped out at the general election, there were calls to reverse the stance against a Scottish parliament.

ConservativeHome's ToryDiary: Plan for Scottish Tories to become independent
With its own distinct identity the Scottish Unionist Party (the name of the party until 1965 and a possible name for the 'new party') could be a leading advocate of The Union and would be more likely to be seen to be motivated by an unambiguous commitment to Scotland's interests rather than those of England.
As for the leader of the confederal Parties we seemed to manage to elect a Scottish Unionist leader in 1963 to the leadership of the C&U party so can't see why they would be excluded for selecting the UK leader or indeed UK parliament MPs standing for leader.
There is no reason why Conservative and Unionist parties throught the countries of the Union cannot cooperate on Union matters in the British parliament whilst being free to grapple with the internal politics of their own countries at home.

IngentaConnect Baldwin and Scotland: More than Englishness
Baldwin was aware that his party needed to present itself as both the natural party of England and as the natural party of Scotland if it was to survive.
Although generally considered to be the archetypal Englishman, Baldwin cleverly re-created himself for the Scottish political constituency, a self-portrayal which allowed him to be accepted by Scottish audiences as one of their own.
He successfully followed a line of appeal that contended that Unionist values were inherently part of the historical and cultural inheritance of Scotland; if Scots wanted to retain and develop their distinct national identity, Baldwin argued that Unionism was their only possible form of political expression.
