		I have been involved with a council JLT for 6 years and the product that we are turning out each summer is great, but if they go back to their home unit and don't get the support from their unit leader, then a lot of what we preach and teach is lost in the mix.
		And that is where the Scoutmaster has to coach and advise the Scouts on an ongoing basis on how to do things in a Patrol Method organization and work through problems that arise in it.
		Most scoutmasters let thier ego get in the way an say something like "its my troop and we will run it like as I want to run it" This is ssad because alot of youth return to thier troop excited and want to do a good job.

		Instead of laying out rules for youth leadership it is easier to describe the role of Scoutmasters and other adults in facilitating a youth led Troop.
		I have been an assistant scoutmaster for some time and was recently asked by the committee to be the new scoutmaster.
		We are setup as the Scoutmaster Handbook says - Webelos that cross over together and new boys form a "new boy patrol" - we have "regular" patrols, then we have a "venture" patrol.
