No other actors' organization had as yet proved able to see justice done, and the founders took matters into their own hands.
Some had acted in silent films for years, while others came to Hollywood with the wave of interest in stage players for the new "talking pictures." All were members of the Actors' Equity Association, with extensive professional experience in the theatre and nearly all had appeared on Broadway.

In the early days, screen actors were not even named, a practice that eliminated the costly star system that had evolved in the theater, but the audience soon demanded to know the names of their screen favorites, and the star system took hold in the movies as well.
Moreover, SAG was divided on other issues, as members defeated an attempt to raise dues and rejected a proposed franchise agreement between the Guild and talent agents.
There was genuine concern that SAG had become so fractured that its ability to negotiate new contracts was mitigated, since there were major concerns about the Guild's ability to convince its members to ratify what was agreed to at the bargaining table.

I know that the 'dir3' Driv3r had loads of highly paid actors in, yet I couldn't have told you which voice belonged to which actor, therefore there seems to me to be very little point in having big name actors 'starring' in games.
The probelm is that the actors in big name movies are in the screenactors guild and if you get them in your game like if youre doing one of the lord of the rings games or chronicles of riddick.
The quotes from the actors came off as arrogant and there seemed to be an argument that the actors deserved more than everyone else.
